Every year, the students of Onalaska School District come together in one assembly to honor and pay respect to our local Veterans. The Veterans are invited to attend the assembly and are escorted in to a seat of honor. During our district-wide Veteran's Day Assembly, Mrs. Davis led the elementary in singing This is My Country to honor our very special guests.

November 6-10 was National Young Reader's Week. It is a fun time to celebrate and emphasize the importance of reading. This year, the theme was Bedtime Stories. On Monday, there was a principal read-in. Students came to school dressed as their favorite character on Tuesday. On Wednesday, there was a school-wide read in.

Halloween is fun day where students and staff have an opportunity to celebrate their imagination. This year, the first grade teachers dressed as The Three Little Pigs. They found a big, bad wolf. "I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down!"

Students had such a great time at our first community dinner, which had a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) theme.
